Introduction
In my view hell doesn't last infinitely, but instead destroys the individual after an appropriate length of time. Hell is eternal in its consequences, not in its duration. This is in contrast to the "traditional view," which holds that the individual is tormented endlessly in the fire of hell. In other words, God prolongs one's life infinitely for the purpose of punishment. Any length of time in hell less than infinite implies the terminal view.
