A fish by any other name smells just as -- well, never mind. The point is that one man's largemouth is another man's green trout, depending on where in the country you happen to hail from. Consider the names some gamefish go by:
CRAPPIE: This name is derived from the French word "crepe," for pancake, which referred to the fish's shape in the pan. In Kentucky and Indiana these fish are called Campbellites, after the follower of 1820s preacher Alexander Campbell, who performed full-immersion baptisms.
Perhaps this should become the ichthyological mascot of our fellowship of churches! (?)
