The FAMS (French Africa Mission Society) is committed to taking the good news of Jesus to the countries of West and Central Africa. The majority of these are former French colonies and 5 them are Moslem countries.
8 of these countries are suffering from the consequences of ongoing political crisis and civil wars. In Liberia, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Central African Republic, Togo, Niger and Ivory Coast civil wars have killed millions of people over the years.
Malaria, Typhoid fever, cholera, AIDS and many more tropical diseases are damaging the health of millions. Our work started in Abidjan, Ivory Coast in 1989 with a mission team from New York of about 20 disciples, led by Mike and Anne Brigitte Taliaferro. Hervé and Janet Fleurant continued the work powerfully until late 1998 when my wife and I took over the leadership of this region.
