In Daniel 12:11-12, it says: "From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days." What is this talking about? It seems to me that the time when the daily sacrifice is abolished is when Jesus dies, but I could be wrong. -- Tim Brown, Atlanta, Georgia
Yes, that is an attractive view. Yet I suspect that these numbers are symbolic, not literal, and so hesitate to commit to the view that the abolition of the sacrifice was fulfilled either in 30 or 70 AD.
