Does the prophecy Joel spoke of indicate preaching, or an infallible doctrinal gift?
The nature of the prophecy Joel spoke of (Joel 2:28-32) is neither. Certainly it seems to have been more than preaching, and yet to claim that those who received the prophetic gift were infallible, or on an equal level with the apostles, seems unwarranted. After all, John 14:26 and 16:13 are promises for the apostles, not for any other leaders.
