Christ died on the cross two thousand years ago. How does he die for me now, when it happened two thousand years ago? -- Norah W.
To be theologically correct, Christ doesn't die for us today. The Bible teaches that he died "once for all." (Check the phrase in the book of Hebrews with your concordance.) We may occasionally imagine Christ on the cross, as in our prayers during communion. Yet Jesus' death is past; now he reigns in heaven and intercedes for us.
