Since Satan knows that his fate is sealed, why is he acting as he does? Is he betting that God's love will eventually lead to a reprieve? Or is Satan just wanting to hurt God by showing him how many of his beloved creatures will follow him into the pit instead of listening to the Father?
You are asking me to speculate here. So I will! I doubt that Satan is banking on any sort of reprieve. No, it seems to me he is simply unwilling to back down. That is the nature of pride: stubborn creature!
