In Acts 2:5 "every nation under heaven" is a figure of speech and does not literally mean that Jews from all over the earth arrived at Pentecost. Could not a similar case be made for Colossians 1:23 where Paul says, "This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant"? Since the gospel had only spread to the Mediterranean area and Africa at this writing and surely not to North America etc, isn't Paul also using a figure of speech? Are we not possibly the first generation in history who could actually preach the gospel to every person in every nation globally?
Yes indeed! I agree totally. We are the first generation since the beginning with the potential to spread the message of Jesus literally around the globe.See also Q0432.
