In 1 John 2:22 we reads, "Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ." So are the Jews antichrists?
In 1 and 2 John, anyone who denies the incarnation or that Jesus is the Christ is the antichrist. And yet there are many antichrists, not just one historical individual (1 John 2:18) or human religion. Of course many people try to remain "neutral" with respect to Christ. They may be living in opposition to God, as all non-Christians do (Colossians 1:21) -- yet perhaps should not be viewed as "antichrists" unless they are actively campaigning against the spirit and message of Jesus Christ. In the context of 1 John, the antichrists sound more like former Christians than Jews or members of another faith.
