In Mark 5, when Jesus drove the legion of demons into the pigs, the people were very upset with him. But weren't they being hypocritical? I mean, they shouldn't have been raising pigs in the first place, right?
If these had been Jews, yes, such a reaction would have been hypocritical. But Jesus wasn't in a Jewish region when he expelled the demons. He was in Gentile territory! The people affected were Gentiles. The law of Moses (the Levitical food laws, or what is called Kashrut) did not apply.
