I was just reading through Jonah chapters 1-3, and couldn't figure out how Jonah got to Nineveh the second time. I know that the fish spat him out on the shore, but of what country? -- Dede Alexandre (Northern Virginia)
The text does not say! Presumably somewhere in the Mediterranean. Egypt? Israel? Syria? Wherever he ended up, it was still a long journey--hundreds and hundreds of miles--to Nineveh!
I have never pondered this matter. Thanks for bringing it up, even though I am unable to help you. I do not know on which shore Jonah emerged from his gastronomic marine adventure.
