In my church, I feel that I cannot express any difference of opinion to the leaders. It feels like all disagreement is viewed as "divisiveness." What can I do?
If you cannot express a different opinion without being considered divisive, you need to tell your leaders that--why you are intimidated. This should not be the spiritual climate of the church. Teachers especially need to welcome input (James 3:1).
But openness works both ways. To the extent we all have influence, or lead or teach, we should ask ourselves the question: "Am I open to input?" James 1:19-20 is highly relevant: "Know this, my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger, for the anger of man does not work the righteousness of God."
