What do you say about the "doctine of non-resistance"? What about Romans 13? Doesn't this allow us to kill our enemies, if our own government commands us to do so?
Great question. While Romans 13 says we are to submit to the authorities, Romans 12 just told us that we are to love, feed, and support our enemies. How that works out in warfare is difficult to figure out. Besides, if all authorities have been instituted by God (Paul in Romans 13), then when would it be right for one God-ordained government to overthrow another God-ordained government, in war? Or when would it ever be permissible to support a violent revolution?
