I have heard people connect Gal 3:26-27 and Matt 22:11-12. They reason that unless you agree with their interpretation on baptism, you'll be kicked out of the kingdom. I’m not so sure about that application.
I agree. The (imaginary) character in the Parable of the Wedding Banquet is certainly without excuse—having made no effort to respect the conventions of wedding celebrations. As tempting as it may be to identify “wedding clothes” with being “clothed with Christ,” this may overthinking it. Generally speaking, the details of parables must not be pressed. (Has anyone ever seen a wedding feast attendee ejected from the celebration, after being bound hand and foot?)
On the other hand, Gal 3:26-27; 4:6 teach that we become God’s children by faith, and receive the Spirit, when we are baptized. This (the historical Christian consensus) should not be dismissed.
