A couple of women have been coming to my house over the past week, who happen to be Jehovah's Witnesses. They want to get together and study the Bible, probably because they want to talk about people dying and owning the earth, being against holidays, blood transfusions, and other things. So, my question is: what scriptures / context should I focus on prior to meeting with these women?
I think the first thing to remember is to avoid quarreling and arguing. If your "discussion" devolves into doctrinal volleyball, you are not only wasting your time, but also failing to glorify God.
Pray for these women, before, after, and even during ("Nehemiah prayers"). God wants them saved, and He loves them, more than we ever could. Usually, a relationship is necessary to win over folks whose convictions may be as deep as ours (this would also apply to Mormons, Muslims, etc.). Even if you get them to see a flaw or two in their doctrine, people usually "don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."
As for the doctrinal issues, I could point you here to start. There are many resources on the site as well as books, audio, etc. But again, "...the greatest of these is love."
Also, I would recommend getting someone whom you feel is strong in her faith and knowledge involved. "Two heads..." and all.
